75If you have been diagnosed with endometriosis, you may be aware that the disease into four stages, and that not all symptoms of endometriosis are present in every step.
You can also know that endometriosis can be difficult to treat in the higher stages of the disease, the symptoms can lead to infertility and perhaps a greater chance of reproductive cancers in the future. To understand the four stages of endometriosis, you have to understand how endometriosis occurs.
The menstrual blood released from the woman's body each month is actually composed of muscle tissue and come from the internal feed of the uterus. This lining called the endometrium, thick at the same time each month and is designed for the future placenta, the halfway house of nutrients from mother to child. In some rare cases, there is no menstrual blood from the body as it should be. Instead, he will find his way out of the womb and in adjacent bones, tissues and organs.
In the pockets of endometrial tissue from the uterus, but not the body, then problems may arise for a number of women. Usually the immune system will deal with these rogue tissues, however, in some women endometrial feed bags can follow some of the bones and tissue, then a building and bleed each month in line with the menstrual cycle caused endometriosis.
This means that a woman who suffers from endometriosis feel "heavy" in her pelvis. At its most extreme, endometriosis can lead to a progressive, severe pain to all those in the lower back. The bags of endometrial feed can also deposit on the surface of the adjacent organs or move to areas where the intestines or the lungs, the brakes of organ function.
Women who suffer from endometriosis experience will be painful, irregular and often heavy periods. They can also bleed, or the site, between menstrual periods. Women who suffer from endometriosis can also pain during sexual intercourse and bowel movements dolorous find. They can also often nausea and sometimes vomiting. In the worst case, endometriosis can lead to endometrial tissue blocks the fallopian tubes, causing infertility. Women with endometriosis are also at greater risk of reproductive cancers in the future, particularly cancer of the ovaries.
With a view to the diagnosis of endometriosis, doctors will have a pelvic exam, and will look for tenderness in the creek and agencies, thickening or increase the weight of the same body, or a lump that can grow on the surface of the ovaries and uterus.
These characters are also common, however, that other forms of cancer and disorders, so the doctors a supplement to their diagnoses with extensive blood tests, X-rays and even diagnostic surgery. When endometrial deposits found in the body, they are measured, and the color is determined. When these properties are taken into account, a doctor can give to a patient and the diagnosis of the woman, who suffers from a certain stage of the disease.
In phase 1, or minimal endometriosis, women have a score of about 5 points, where there are only isolated incidents of endometrial feed grows outside the uterus.
In Phase 2, or mild endometriosis, women will make up to 15 points, and a small endometrial implants outside the uterus, along with some parts of the adhesions, or scarring.
In Phase 3, or moderate endometriosis, women will make up to 40 points, and the implants that are deep, as well as a number of areas where the adhesions and scar tissue is prominent.
Finally, phase 4, or severe endometriosis occurs when women score more than 40 points in the diagnosis, often infertile, and will have many implants and high adhesion of the endometrial lining in their body.
Not all endometriosis symptoms appear during the first few stages, so be sure to be an annual check-up with your obstetrician or gynecologist. Interesting information. However, I question its authenticity because of the poor structuring of the information.
What about grading it in terms of pain, because this is far worse to deal with?
I have to agree with the others. Not only is this article poorly written, however, shameful that something so very serious as far as reproductive issues are concerned so lightly considered. This is a disorder NOT a disease for one. I HAVE IT and it is NOT a disease. Women with this disorder really need more than ONE specialist to have this properly diagnosed with greater awareness and information, such as referring us to a website so that we may search for a specialist in our area and an advocate for those who suffer from this disorder as this is NOT a subject to consider casually. I have personally found that as a woman , you MUST be very assertive about your case history and do please do not behave so naively as to say that the doctor is always right because they ARE NOT. Three physicians have allowed me to suffer for over 15 years and told me to take some over the counter junk for this serious condition. It was when I could not take this disabling pain any longer is when they finally scheduled surgery and found that the endometrial tissues had grown into my bladder, intestines and near my lungs! All because these former doctors were too lazy to do what they were asked to do and because of their arrogance. Physicians are paid to serve YOU and as women, we had better take a greater stand for one another and not compare pain levels according to weakness or strength. This endometriosis has caused me permanent disability and TWO surgeries AND much more (far too personal to write!). NO one (whoever you are) should suffer in this manner as the symptoms and its outcome are far damaging towards a normal life. Stand up and get angry in a beneficial way. KNOW more about your body and do not leave up to the doctors to figure this out for you. YOU should know your body better than they claim to. You are not a textbook, you have unique lives to live and if this can be signifcantly reduced , then, it ought to be for as much as many of us PAY in doctor fees and bills alobe. Make these specialists earn their keep. Women are dying because these fool specialists are too lazy to schedule detailed tests that cost them nothing and that save our lives! You count!
I understood the article quite well. I'm sorry SweetBabe! But endometriosis is a disease.
